The Malta Federation for Professional Associations (MFPA), in collaboration with the University of Malta’s Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), is organising a series of four public talks in June and July 2014. These talks give a taster of the University’s new flagship Programme in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (PLAS). Meeting with Hon. Evarist Bartolo, Minister for Education and Employment
The delegation from the Centre of Excellence for Professional Ethics (ECEPE) led by the Federation met Minister Bartolo. The delegation was made up of four officials from the Federation, two representatives from the University of Malta, two representatives from the Université catholique de Louvain, and two representatives from the European Council for Liberal Professions (CEPLIS). The delegation explained the state of play of the project at the moment and what steps are being taken to move forward including the introduction of the Professional EU Desk to help fill up issues related with ECEPE . …

Launch of the Professional Card in Malta by the Federation of Professional Associations The Hon Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information within the Office of the Prime Minister congratulated the Malta Federation of Professional Association for being in the forefront in the field of Professionals by issuing the professional card. The Professional Card is a concept that is mentioned in the EU Directive 2005/36/EC on Professional Recognition. 37th Year from its Foundation The Malta Federation of Professional Associations (MFPA) on the 3rd November 2007 celebrated ‘Federation Day’ being the 37th Year from its foundation The Federation has worked during the last 37 years towards unifying all professionals and has always worked for the development of an interdisciplinary approach. Benjamin Rizzo elected president of MFPA – 19/11/2013
The Malta Federation of Professional Associations (MFPA) is pleased to announce that it has elected Ben Rizzo as President.
