Public Talk _ Prevention of Osteoporosis Through Exercise – 21/06/2013

The Malta Federation of Professional Associations (MFPA yesterday organised its third in a series of talks directed to the general public at their premises. The topic was Osteoporosis: Prevention of Osteoporosis through exercise. The talk was delivered by Ms. Ariane Calleja from the Society of Medical Radiographers (SRM) and a Senior Radiographer at the Medical Imaging department at Mater Dei Hospital Malta. After working for sometime in the bone density department, she conducted a research study during the last year on the imprtance of exercise for the prevention of osteoporosis. The talk was well attended and participants had the opportunity to share their experiences. A followup of this interesting talk will be presented by a representative of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists (MAP) next September.
