Chamber of Engineers
The Engineering Profession in Malta is regulated through Chap 321 of the laws of Malta – The Engineering Profession Act. Within the local scenario, the Chamber of Engineers (CoE) is the NGO that caters for the interests of Maltese Engineers. The Chamber was founded on the 28th April 1978.
At a European level, the Chamber actively participates in international discussion groups through the Chamber’s affiliation with the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI).
The Chamber also organises lectures that offer an ideal opportunity for attendees to broaden their knowledge on different Engineering concerns. It also holds training on a regular basis on Health and Safety, Quality, Management, Building Services, Technical and Information Technology subjects for the Engineering Community and Industry. These are conducted by highly qualified Engineers.
Ethics has also been the most important topic on the agenda of the organisation with an Ethics and Disciplinary sub-committee set up within the realms of the Chamber to address ethical dilemmas that may arise and brought to the attention of the Council or report directly to the committee.
