The Malta-EU Steering & Action Committee (MEUSAC) is calling for proposals from constituted bodies and representative organizations in order to assist such organizations to cover expenses actually incurred during 2008 in order to:
Eligible organisations are required to apply to benefit from a share of these funds, in line with the objectives set out above, by writing to the Head, Civil Society Fund Committee, MEUSAC, 280, Republic Street, Valletta VLT 1112, by not later than Friday, 28th November 2008 at noon. Applications must be made using the Application Forms which can be downloaded from this website. The forms must be submitted both in electronic (in Word or PDF Format) and paper format. The latter should be signed and dated by the Applicant.
Together with the application, eligible organisations are requested to submit their funding proposal that is to include details of all activities carried out during 2008 for which assistance is being sought, together with a detailed breakdown of the actual costs for each activity and for which assistance is being requested. The Committee will inform these organisations of the procedures to be followed. Upon approval of the funding proposal, the grant allocated will be paid subject to the submission of a detailed implementation report and the financial statement, inclusive of original invoices and receipts, within the stipulated deadline, and subsequent approval by the Committee.
The implementation report is to reach the Committee by not later than Tuesday, 9th December 2008 at 9.00 am, failing which, the organisation would lose its right for the grant without further notice.
Organisations eligible for assistance under the CSF are the Social Partners and Voluntary Organisations (VOs), provided that they are established for the specific purpose of meeting needs in the general interest or in the interests of their membership and not having an industrial or commercial character.
Local councils and public sector organizations are not eligible for assistance under the CSF.
